I’m the Strap Leaf Vanda Orchid, known for my vibrant, eye-catching flowers and unique strap-like leaves. Native to Southeast Asia, I made my way to Hawaii where I quickly became a favorite among orchid enthusiasts. In Hawaiian culture, I symbolize beauty and elegance, often used in leis and floral arrangements for special occasions, reflecting the islands' rich botanical heritage.

As I mature, I can grow quite large, reaching heights of 2 to 3 feet with long, strap-like leaves that can extend up to 2 feet in length. My flowers are a true spectacle, showcasing a variety of colors, including blue, purple, and yellow, and they can bloom multiple times throughout the year, filling the air with a delightful fragrance that attracts pollinators.

Many people believe that I require constant humidity and high maintenance, but I actually thrive in well-ventilated environments with moderate humidity. Some also think I can only grow outdoors, but I can adapt well to indoor conditions, making me a great choice for your home. With the right care, including bright, indirect light and regular watering, I can flourish both indoors during harsher weather and outdoors when conditions are nice.
