White Plumeria Cuttings from Hawaii

I’m the White Plumeria, and I’m known for my breathtaking, fragrant flowers that embody the essence of tropical beauty. Originating from the Caribbean and Central America, I made my way to Hawaii in the 1800s, where I quickly became a beloved symbol of love and positivity. In Hawaiian culture, I’m often used in traditional leis and celebrations, representing beauty and new beginnings.

As I mature, I can grow to heights of 3 to 30 feet, depending on the variety. My thick, leathery leaves can reach up to 12 inches long, arranged in a whorled pattern around my branches. When I bloom, usually in spring and summer, I produce clusters of beautiful white flowers with hints of yellow at the center, filling the air with a sweet, intoxicating fragrance that attracts pollinators.

Many people think I like a warm, humid environment. But I actually prefer hotter, drier conditions and I really don't do well in frost. Others believe I need constant watering, but I prefer well-draining soil and should be allowed to dry out between waterings. Additionally, while I can grow quite large outdoors, I can also thrive in pots, making me suitable for indoor gardening.

After you plant my cuttings, you can expect to see healthy foliage within a few months, and while it typically takes about 2 to 3 years for me to produce my first blooms, the wait is well worth it! For optimal results, place me near a bright window where I can receive plenty of sunlight, or in a well-lit room that mimics my natural tropical environment.
