Aloha! I’m the Bamboo Orchid — known for my delicate, reed-like stems and vibrant blooms that dance in the breeze. Though I’m native to Southeast Asia, I’ve made Hawaii my home since the early 20th century, thriving in gardens and even along roadsides where I brighten up lava fields and forest edges.

I’m not actually bamboo, but my tall, slender stems give that graceful illusion. My soft purple-pink flowers bloom in clusters, contrasting beautifully with my grassy foliage — creating a truly wild and elegant tropical look.

Gardeners love me for my resilience. With just a little care, I’ll root quickly and reach for the sky. I’m one of the few orchids that likes a bit of disturbance — a true pioneer spirit!

What You’ll Get

You’ll receive two (2) bamboo orchid keiki (young offshoots), about 2–3 inches long. Each is carefully packed in sphagnum moss for moisture and viability.

Care Tips

• Light: Bright, indirect light or filtered sun
• Water: Keep soil slightly moist but never soggy
• Fertilizer: Use a diluted orchid fertilizer twice monthly
• Growth Rate: Fast — may bloom in 3 to 6 months
