Aloha! I’m the Guava plant — known in Hawaii for my sweet, fragrant fruit and lush, evergreen foliage. My scientific name is Psidium guajava, but you probably know me best as one of the key flavors in the legendary POG juice (Passionfruit-Orange-Guava). I’ve been growing in Hawaii since the 1800s, and I’m still one of the most beloved tropical fruit trees on the islands.

As I grow, I transform into a small tree or large shrub, with fragrant white flowers and round yellow fruits filled with delicious pink flesh. My fruit is often used in jams, juices, desserts, and traditional Hawaiian treats — and I’m a magnet for butterflies and bees!

Even if you’re not in the tropics, I can grow happily in a sunny spot indoors or on a patio. I’m resilient, beautiful, and bring a taste of Hawaii wherever I go.

What You’ll Get

Choose one (1) live guava seedling in a 2-inch pot (10-12" tall) or one (1) packet of seeds, containing approximately 50 seeds (measured by scoop, not count)

Care Tips

• Light: Full sun to partial shade
• Water: Moderate — allow soil to dry slightly between waterings
• Fertilizer: Use a fruit tree fertilizer monthly during active growth
• Growth Rate: Fast — fruit may appear in 2–4 years
• Other Notes: Ideal for containers or in-ground planting; protect from frost
