Plumeria [Plumeria spp.] Potted Starter Plant
Product Description
Aloha! I’m the plumeria plant—also known as Frangipani—and I’m here to bring a little island magic to your garden. Famous for my sweet, tropical fragrance and lush clusters of vibrant blooms, I’m more than just a pretty flower.
In Hawaiian culture, I symbolize love, beauty, and positivity, and I’ve been cherished in leis and celebrations since the 1800s.
This listing is for rooted starter plants in 4-inch pots only!
Looking for plumeria cuttings? Click here.
I start out as a rooted cutting, and am allowed to grow in a 4" starter pot for at least 8 months before being offered for sale. Depending on the season, I may be fully leafed out, or, if it's fall or winter, I may arrive in my dormant "stick-like" form. Don’t worry—I'm perfectly healthy and this is completely normal!
Once mature, I can grow anywhere from 3 to 30 feet tall depending on variety and care. My thick, leathery leaves form a whorled pattern around the tips of my branches, and when in bloom, I show off stunning flowers in shades of white, yellow, pink, or red that attract butterflies and bees.
I thrive in warm, sunny weather and should always be planted in well-draining planting media. Though I may not bloom in the first year, give me time and sunlight, and I’ll reward you with unforgettable tropical beauty for years to come.
What You’ll Get
You'll receive (In your choice of colors):
- Potted Plumeria (4” Pot): A rooted cutting grown in a 4-inch pot for at least 8 months. Leaf size and presence may vary by season due to dormancy cycles.
